What the lock do you have? Or you thinking what it would be best?

As you have not said, the window type, sliding sash or a hinged window, in either case, the main priority, is to stop leverage, from a say a crowbar, so best not to fit one lock in the middle, but fit 2 locks in the corners, this means with the combination of the window catch normally located in the middle, this gives best security, as said against leverage of the window. Hope this helps.

It really does depend on what type of windows they are. For example UPVC, wooden sash windows or casement. Do you have windows that need locks installing? If so what type are they?
